Cooking Matters host sites are community-based organizations that participate in serving low-income individuals who are interested, in and could benefit from, attending nutrition-based cooking classes. Some examples of past and current host sites include, but are not limited to, schools, churches, community health centers, and child care facilities.
A site must provide a host site coordinator and kitchen and/or meeting area, either on-site or at a location that is accessible to individuals. The host site coordinator is responsible for recruiting 8-15 individuals to participate and maintain contact throughout the Cooking Matters course.
